ADB is seeking a Foreman to join our wireline team and provide proficient level manual laborer and equipment operations.
This position will lead the installation of fiber optic cable for various telecommunication projects.

ROLES AND
Responsibilities:
Provides proficient-level manual labor and operations including hand digging with a shovel, setting up traffic control, entry level equipment operations, placing fiber, loading materials, operating equipment, leading crews, etc.
on various safety sensitive utility construction sitesProficient with utility print and map readingHas performed at least 1 year of independent operating of various equipment (directional drill, mini, plow, hydro, etc.
); fully trained in all safety regulations of operating heavy equipmentSupports and leads the setup and shut down of utility construction projects including traffic control in various conditions including highways, side streets, parking lots, downtown locations, etc.
Safety is the expectation, always leads and follows the required safety practices while performing safety sensitive dutiesHas professionalism to communicate directly with customers, subcontractors, homeowners, etc.
and address any complaints/issues that may ariseTrains other construction crew members on fiber installation practices, print reading, equipment operations, OSHA requirements, etc.
Loads and unloads materials and equipment in from vehicles at construction yards and jobsitesLeads by example, ensures safety rules/regulations are followed, and can lead others on jobsitesPerforms OTJ training with Senior Foreman and/or Supervisors to grow skills in the utility construction tradeLeads the culture of identifying hazards by utilizing the pre-task processPerforms other position duties when requestedSUCCESS FACTORS:

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsiteRegular exposure to all weather conditions including hot, humid, cold, rain, snow, ice, etc.
When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

years of utility construction experience acting as a crew leader and/or foreman required1

Max Pay for this Position:
